DMA'dan dolayı hem iPhone genelinde hem de şirket politikalarında köklü değişiklikler yapmak zorunda kalan Apple; Lightning girişini kaldırmıştı. Bence de olması gereken buydu Sony ve Apple'ın manasız dayatmalarından kurtulduğumuza seviniyorum. Evrensel girişleri destekliyorum. Neyse elbette App Store’da değişikliklere gidildi ve kendi yerleşik uygulamalarının cihazlardan silinmesine izin vermek durumunda bile kaldı.
En sonunda Nisan ayının başından itibaren Apple Store üzerinde emülatör geliştirilip dağıtılmasına izin geldi. Artık eski oyunları iphone'larda oynayabileceğiz. Senelerdir bu konuda Google'a nazaran ketum bir tavır sergileyen Apple sonunda Avrupa birliğine yenik düştü. Artık commodore, Gameboy Advance, Color ve nintendo oyunlarını oynayabileceğiz.
Apple'ın bu kararı, kullanıcılara daha fazla seçenek ve özgürlük sunma amacını yansıtabilir. Ya da geliştiricilere ve kullanıcılara daha geniş bir uygulama ve oyun seçeneği sunma isteği de olabilir.
